Book launch-WWII@Bukit Brown

WWII @ Bukit Brown, is a book by All Things Bukit Brown which showcases a collection of stories, essays and poems, with a focus on those buried at Bukit Brown cemetery. The book is supported by the Singapore Heritage Society (SHS) and published by Ethos Books. The book is made possible with a grant by National Heritage Board and contributions from SHS members and other community members contribution. I myself played a very small part by contributing a few stories for the book.

Some of the personalities that are covered and/or have stories related to War Time include:

Tan Huck Wan
Wong Chin Yoke
Tay Koh Yat
Soh Koon Eng
Tan Ean Kiam
Tan Ean Teck
Neo Tiew's family

(the book will have more details and stories, so best you get a copy and treat this as a small preview that will hopefully wet your appetite to purchase a copy)

The book launch will be held at the 5th-floor auditorium at The URA Centre in Maxwell Road this Saturday, April 9, 2016. It will be attended by Mr Desmond Lee, Senior Minister of State for National Development and Home Affairs. The event also feature presentations and a panel discussion on community engagement.

Its not too late to sign up and you can do so online via http://peatix.com/event/159461
